We can hardly believe it has been a week since Lucy and friend’s took over the fabulous Best’s Bootcamp for a private fitness event and brunch!
Having heard such wonderful things about Best’s Bootcamp, a few moments from Charring Cross station, we decided it was the perfect location for our event. The event was organised for the purpose of saying thank you to all those who have helped Lucy on her journey so far. Whether this was by posting photographs of Lucy on their social media, including Lucy in their magazine or event writing a review of Lucy. Every little bit of exposure is important to a start up brand and so we really wanted to show our appreciation to all of these wonderful guys and girls.
Okay, so if you haven’t heard of Best’s Bootcamp they operate by doing a full on 1 hour of functional body fitness. This means the inclusion of cardio on tread mills, strength work using free weights and even plyometrics using floor space and boxes! In short – it’s a tough old workout for your entire body!! If this doesn’t sound appealing yet then maybe we should add that it is in a darkened room with fluorescent lighting and a cracking play list to go alongside. This creates an almost club like atmosphere, helping you forget that you are in fact sweating it out in a gym. The instructor was fabulous, so much fun, and the changing rooms in perfect condition ensuring you looked more than presentable afterwards.
After the class everyone, including the Lucy team, were able to grab some Granola for a much-needed re-fuel. This was a great opportunity for everyone to try any Lucy Granolas that they hadn’t previously and with a whole variety of yoghurts, milks, fruits and toppings!!
Our favourite?? Tough choice BUT perhaps the glowing granola and cashew milk? Oh wait, maybe the Lush Crunch and coconut yoghurt with fresh berries? Okay, never mind we can’t choose.
Overall it was a great morning and we look forward to organising a second!
